Sugary Sweet Things

I’ve been quite lucky these days to get some different types of cookies to make. The Toy Story cookie favors was for a boy turning 5 and his favourite movie is Toy Story of course! I must admit, it is a great movie. I took my kids to see it in the theatre last summer and it was alot better than I expected, I even shedded a tear at the end??? LOL! An order of 24 cookie favors for a 50th Anniversary Party. The photo cookie is quite popular for anniversary parties. They turned out great.

This order was ordered for 2 kids ages 3 & 6. Their mom is battling cancer right now and their Auntie wanted to get some special cookies for them as they are having a hard time with their mom in and out of the hospital. My heart goes out to those children. I hope that your mom makes a full recovery as every child needs their mom! God Bless you all!

Star Wars Cookies

LUKE...I AM YOUR FATHER! (ok, couldn’t resist putting that in there!)

These weren't an order but just for fun!  Michelle from Piece of Cake Creations got these cookie cutters and I have been dying to make them! Finally I got some time to do these. These cookies are perfect for any Star Wars Themed party.

The customer wanted animals for a baby shower so I came up with these little guys. They were so adorable and the customer was so pleased with how they looked. I did a total of 15 cookie favors. Thank you for the order!

An order of 12 Cat in the Hat cookies for a platter. They turned out great, the colours were super bright and vibrant. I hear that cat in the hat is quite popular these days on treehouse! Thanks for the order!

These were fun to make! The customer emailed me a picture of how she wanted the cookies decorated and they turned out quite cute. I made 60 gingerbread cookie favors. Thanks for the order!

These pretty little cookies were made for a little girl turning 4! As most girls are, she’s into ballet so she wanted ballet shoes for her cookie favors. There were 2 cookies per bag! Happy Birthday Katarina!

When I got the order it was originally for a shoe cookie favour for a girls 10th birthday however the cookie cutter that I have is not the biggest and not really suited on it’s own. It’s best if combined with another cookie for a favor or have a square or round cookie with a shoe on it. I came up the idea of having a zebra print of the background of the shoe and the birthday girl was all for it. They were a very generous size cookie and they turned out very nice and I got to use my zebra print ribbon! Thanks for the order!

Here’s an order of a cake and cookies for a set of twins (our friends) who were getting baptised. I did the baby onesie cookie announcements for them back in October and was thrilled to do some baptism cookies for their reception. Michelle, from Piece of Cake Creations did the cake – it was beautiful! I got a chance to add in a new cookie design ...the christening gown which I think turned out quite cute and very fitting for the occasion!  Congrats Girls!

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my blog!! I’ve had some trouble updating my blog but I think everything is up and running now. So this is what I have been up to in January!

An order of 30 Coach Handbag cookie favors for a 30th birthday party! I love the coach pattern on these cookies, so vibrant. It was the customer’s idea to add the 30 on the upper part of the cookie and it turned out awesome. Thanks for the order.

It was a busy week last week with 3 orders.  Here’s an order of 100 cookie favors for a 25th Anniversary party. The cookies were in the shapes of martini glasses, the stem of the glass was silver and so was the “25” of the upper part of the cookie. Happy Anniversary Raj & Gurpreet, hope you had a wonderful 25th anniversary.

Another order of baby shower cookies favors. Here’s an order of 40 onesie cookie favors – half in white with blue designs and the other half in blue with white designs. Thank you for the order, hope the baby shower was a hit!

An order of 12 cookie favors of 4 mini cookies per favor and 4 dozen mini baby shower cookies on a platter. The cookie favors with the assorted cookies are adorable!! I was happy with the way they turned out and the way they were packaged.   Thank you for the order!

So this wasn’t an order but I thought I’d show you my first handmade edible figurines that I made for my husband’s birthday cake. My husband likes cows...it’s a long story! I made vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and iced with vanilla buttercream. Of course I had to make cookies as well so I made cow pattern circle cookies!

Well, I'm finally get a chance to update my blog after a few crazy weeks!  It was a busy month and now I'm enjoying a few days off that is until next week.  For the month of december I baked & decorated 800 cookies!!   Thank you all for all your orders!

This order was for the Q4 Al Centro Restaurant opening.  I made 350 + cookie favors for their grand opening.  It was great meeting with the owner of the restaurant to come up with the perfect cookie for their special event.  Many thanks for the order!

Christmas Cookies!  I had alot of christmas orders this month from cookie platters, cookie favors for soccers teams, classmates & co-workers, boxed cookies & a cookie bouquet.  I didn't take pictures of each individual order because quite honestly I didn't have time!  Thank you all for all your orders this holiday season!  Here are some pictures that i did manage to take.
